Local storage.
Saved dossiers are written to browser storage on the current origin. They do not sync. Clearing browser data or changing origin can remove access, so export a backup when the dossier matters.
While you type, each tool also keeps an unsaved draft in the same browser storage so that a reload does not erase your entries. “Clear dossier” or “Discard draft” removes it. Exported files are ordinary JSON files that you store yourself.
What is measured, and what is absent.
The public site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are used. When a tool shows a result, an event records which tool was used, never the amounts you enter. It runs with Google signals and ad personalization turned off, without advertising features and without a user ID. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it starts with analytics and advertising storage denied, so no analytics cookie is set there; Google may still receive cookieless signals (such as the page address and a timestamp) that its consent mode uses for aggregate measurement. The amounts you type into a tool are not sent: calculations stay in your browser.
Where analytics storage is allowed, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga) and receives the page address, the referring page, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser information, under Google’s privacy policy (opens an external site). You can block it with your browser’s tracking protection or with Google’s opt-out add-on (opens an external site).
No advertising tag, tracking pixel, remote font, AI model call, account system or contact form is installed. External reference pages open only when you select them.
Hosting logs.
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web host, Vercel receives the technical data needed to deliver a page, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser’s user agent, and may keep it in server logs for security and operations under its own privacy policy (opens an external site). RepairWorth does not export or analyze these logs to identify or follow visitors.
What not to enter.
Use a short vehicle reference if helpful. Do not enter a VIN, license plate, phone number, customer name or unredacted invoice. RepairWorth does not need them to perform arithmetic.
If you write to us.
An email you send is used only to answer it and to document any correction it leads to. It is not added to a mailing list.
Before anything changes.
Advertising, or any change to the analytics settings described above, would require an updated notice, a new network inspection and any consent controls the law requires, before activation.
