EDITORIAL / PRODUCT STANDARD

Clarity before confidence.

RepairWorth publishes free tools that help U.S. car owners read, check and compare a written repair quote before approving the work.

01

The moment we design for.

A person has a written number, a list of unfamiliar operations or two offers that do not cover the same work. RepairWorth helps record the evidence, perform transparent arithmetic and prepare questions.

02

The boundary is part of the product.

We do not inspect vehicles, identify a fault from symptoms, tell someone a vehicle is safe to drive or recommend a repair. We do not infer local prices from make, model or ZIP code.

03

How the guides are written and reviewed.

Each guide is drafted with the help of an AI model from general automotive service practice and from the public sources cited next to the claims they support.

On September 22, 2026, every guide received a technical review, also AI-assisted, against common service practice: the real procedure, the parts usually replaced together, the extra work often proposed and when it is justified, vehicle variants that change the job (such as electronic parking brakes, stop-start batteries, all-wheel drive, hybrids and driver-assistance cameras), safety points, the terms printed on quotes and frequent misreadings. A second AI review then checked every change against the source register. Each page shows this status and its date.

No certified automotive technician has reviewed these guides. They are general information, not a diagnosis: your vehicle manufacturer’s service information and a qualified technician who inspects your car come first. If a certified technician reviews the guides, this page will name them and their qualification.

04

What every page must pass.

Distinct task, service-specific scope, correct formula, understandable empty state, keyboard access, responsive layout, useful print, source review and an explicit indexation decision recorded per URL with its evidence. Building a route does not approve it for search.

05

How RepairWorth is funded.

RepairWorth carries no advertising, affiliate links, sponsored placements or shop partnerships. If advertising is added later, it will be disclosed here and it will never change a calculation or a guide.

06

Who publishes RepairWorth.

RepairWorth is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with any repair shop, parts seller, insurer or vehicle maker named in its sources or price observations.

Contact: research@repairworth.com (not active yet).

No editor biography, mechanic credential, office address, customer count or testimonial is shown, because none has been supplied that could be verified.

07

Corrections and removals.

Write to research@repairworth.com (not active yet) with the page address and what is wrong. A confirmed error is corrected within 7 days, and a material change to a calculation or a published figure is dated on the page. A seller, publisher or rights holder who asks for a price observation or a quotation to be corrected or removed gets an answer within 7 days.

QUICK FIND

Find the work on your quote.
